The CBA Community extends our sincere gratitude to Will King for his 28 years of service on the Board of Trustees. Mr. King, who joined the board in 1992, has been a driving force in the school’s numerous accomplishments over the past three decades. Mr. King served several years as co-chair of the advancement committee. He also served on the finance committee, campaign steering committee, and was a cabinet member of the Transformation Capital Campaign. In 2017, Mr. King was selected as “Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser” by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Hampton Roads Chapter for his tremendous work within the community. Will is a retired Captain in the United States Navy, and retired as Headmaster of Norfolk Collegiate School after 20 years in that position. He has a rich history of service across Hampton Roads and continues to serve the community raising funds for The MacArthur Memorial. He is founding chair and present board member of Horizons Hampton Roads, and serves on the board of the Future of Hampton Roads, Inc. He was on the Virginia State Council and currently is a field consultant for the Southern Association of College and School’s council on school improvement. Mr. King has served as President of the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and The Norfolk Forum, and was Senior Warden of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Vestry. Clearly, Will is a very busy man! While Mr. King tendered his resignation in April, the CBA Board quickly voted to make him an Emeritus member in appreciation of all that he’s done for our CBA community.
