Boo at the Zoo!

Student learn about parrots behind the scenes of The Virginia Zoo

Middle school enjoyed a fantastic “Boo at the Zoo” field trip. After a behind the scenes tour they met a few of the zoo’s official animal ambassadors.

Following a “meet and greet” with a spotted gecko, terrapin and macaw, students split off into groups and explored the different exhibits. The baby giraffe, who already measures over 6 ft. tall, was a class favorite along with the mother-to-be rhino who is due in the next few days.
