Lower School students “tasting” books

To promote the love of reading, lower school faculty hosted a “Book Tasting”.

Students gathered at the “Lower School Cafe” and had the opportunity to “sample” a variety of books from different genres while enjoying a healthy snack. Students were invited to choose books they wanted to read instead of being assigned a particular book.

As they read, small snacks and light drinks were provided to get the mind flowing. After “tasting” their book of choice students filled out a “book menu” rating their selections from one to five stars.

What a unique and fun way to encourage students to try new books. Well done, lower school faculty!
