Bug Explorers Club

The Bug Explorers Club just wrapped up with their final meeting for the season. Over the past six weeks, students in the club, provided by our partners Mosquito Joe, learned about the different types of bugs in our area.

The sessions began with students learning the vocabulary associated with the small creatures we often overlook in our daily lives. For the weeks that followed, students were able to decide which insects they wanted to learn about. Some of the chosen citters included spiders, ants, bumble bees, butterflies, and beetles.

Students kept track of their new insect knowledge each week through journaling, videos and  art projects associated with the bug. When the weather was in our favor, students got the chance to head outside and look for insects to inspect.

Thank you to Mosquito Joe for informing us on these little creepy crawlies!
