Roadtrip Nation, a docuseries featured on PBS, explores what it can mean to build a career – more importantly, a life – around the things you love. The show’s newest series, “Learning Reimagined”, attempts to answer the question, “what can education look like?” The answer, viewers come to find out is, well, just about anything—as long as innovative people take the reins to bring their vision of student-centered education to life. Having recently been recognized as leaders in educational innovation by the Center for Education Reform, Chesapeake Bay Academy was selected to be featured on the first episode. “Learning Reimagined” follows three early career educators eager to see what’s possible in the world of education entrepreneurship. Watch the roadtrippers Billie, Maximiliano, and Aliyah as they meet inspiring tech entrepreneurs and educators, learn about all the new tools and ideas coming to the forefront for today’s students, and see firsthand how education is changing to become more innovative and inclusive in real time.

“Traditional education is teacher-centered. That is the exact opposite of what we do here. Who are you as a person and what is it that you need to learn? What is it that we as educators need to do to meet those needs? You have to get students to believe in themselves. When they feel safe and cared for, the rest of the brain becomes available for the learning to take place. That is the CBA approach.”

– Dr. Jankowski, CBA Head of School
