Makerspace Remembers 9/11

Middle and upper makerspace students recreated the Twin Towers using cardboard, paint, Legos, mechanical metal pieces, and robots as part of a 9/11 tribute project.
The classes also welcomed Captain Nick Curtis as a guest speaker. Captain Curtis received the prestigious Medal of Merit, one of the highest honors in the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office, for his role as a first responder in the Virginia Beach courthouse incident.
