Chemical Reactions

This week in Upper School Chemistry, students experimented to see what factors can affect chemical reactions. During this lab, students used ground up Alka Seltzer tablets to compare how fast the tablets react to an intact one.

Students worked in pairs or groups to prepare all of their supplies for the lab, including making sure they had on the proper PPE, or personal protective equipment. As they watched the different reactions of the tablets, they took notes of their observations and discussed as a class afterwards.
