CBA is pleased to offer co-ed E-Sports, Soccer, Karate and Chess Club this fall. As our focus continues to be on inclusivity, all activities are open to all skill levels – no experience necessary!
E-Sports with Game On
CBA is proud to partner with Game On, Hampton Roads leading provider of Youth E-Sports. Each session will feature two coaches guiding participants through the online world of competitive video gaming utilizing organized multiplayer and individual approaches. In addition to game concepts and skills, coaches will also cover healthy gaming habits, college opportunities and career paths. Game on!
Sept. 19 – Nov. 28 (10 weeks, no sessions Nov. 21-22)
Grades: 5-10 (co-ed)
Cost: $325 (gaming only), $375 (gaming plus pizza on Wednesdays). Includes one jersey per athlete.
12 max athletes. First come, first served.
Tuesday Practice: 3:30 – 5:30 pm will be held at CBA.
Wednesday Competition: 5:30 – 8:30 pm will be held at Game On located at 5386 Kemps River Road in Virginia Beach.
- Participants will attend homework center until the bus arrives at 4:30 pm to transport.
- Participants have the option to pre-order pizza or bring their own dinner.
- Parents are encouraged to attend “Wipe Out Wednesdays” and are responsible for picking up their child from Game On NO LATER than 8:30 pm on Wednesdays.
Soccer
Join Coach Powell for an intramural soccer experience! Focus on fundamentals, conditioning, technique, footwork and more. Co-ed competitions provide opportunity for teamwork, strategy, comradery and FUN! Proper footwear (tennis shoes) and shin guards required, mouth guard suggested.
Sept. 18 – Nov. 16 (9 weeks)
Grades: 6-12 (co-ed)
Cost: $200

Monday & Thursdays: 3:15 – 4:30 pm
Martial Arts/Karate
Led by Sensei Andre Serrette and John Huckins, participants will learn the fundamentals of martial arts to promote self-discipline, emotional stability, and respect, along with the enhancement of various physical skills.
Sept. 19 – Dec. 9 (11 weeks, no sessions Nov. 21-25)
Grades: 2-12 (co-ed)
Location: CBA
Tuesdays: 3:00 – 3:45 pm and Saturdays 9:30 – 10:30 am
Tuesdays OR Saturdays: $65 per month
Tuesdays AND Saturdays: $100 per month
Chess Club
CBA is pleased to partner with Hampton Roads Chess Association (HRCA) to offer our very first chess club. Coach Mike will teach game fundamentals, skills and strategy following the organization’s mission in bringing the life benefits of chess to people of all ages and abilities throughout our region.
Sept. 13 – Dec. 6 (12 weeks. No session Nov. 22)
Grades: 5-12 (co-ed)
Cost: $125
Location: CBA, Room 131
Wednesdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
Bug Explorers Club
CBA is delighted to partner with Mosquito Joe to provide a Bug Explorer Club to our lower school students! Participants will embark on a journey to discover the secrets of the smallest creatures on Earth through bug hunts, insect study and other engaging activities.
October 12 – November 16 (6 weeks)
Grades: 1-5 (co-ed)
Cost: $100
Thursdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
