Fractions with Music!

CBA’s Upper School Math Media class is working on a “Division Frenzy” video. The class objective is to explore basic math ideas like fractions, numbers, and ratios as they relate to real life situations. The class is editing together the scenes to show how to divide by fractions and find a pattern.
The first video they worked on featured math in music where fractions relate songs and notes. Math is everywhere in music, from counting beats to breaking down rhythms. Fractions can be applied into music as well in the same ways.
