Kurt Walborn, lower school reading interventionist, traveled to New York City last week to facilitate the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN).

The MMUN program was created in 2006 to work with upper elementary and middle school students. Mr. Walborn and his wife have been working as Senior Bureau members helping lead conferences since 2012 in New York City, China in 2014, and Rome in 2018.

This years conference had 1,200 students representing 14 different countries. Mr. Walborn’s committee consisted of 50 students whose work focused on resolutions supporting adequate housing and rights of children. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Walborn for their wonderful work!
