Ms. Kooiman Pursuing Peace through Music

Over the summer CBA’s music teacher Ms. Destiney Kooiman began the Music Education and Peacebuilding Masters (MME) program through Elizabethtown College in PA. The program focuses on embracing social-emotional learning, trauma-informed pedagogy, diverse cultures, and peacebuilding within music classrooms and features two World Music Drumming® workshops. We are excited for Ms. Kooiman as she explores the relationship between music and peacebuilding and look forward to her sharing her learning with the community.
