An example of student artwork inspired by Edgar Allan Poe

Middle school students took a virtual field trip to the Poe Museum in Richmond, VA. Students analyzed various references, adaptations, and interpretations of Edgar Allan Poe’s life and literary works throughout the past 150 years. Students were then challenged to make their own “pop culture” art. They had the option to work in pairs or individually to design a piece of art that they felt represented Edgar Allan Poe.

Our students did an AMAZING job using their creativity to express the essence of Poe!
