Surface Tension Science
Mrs. Reynolds’s science class got hands on and learned about surface tension this week! In the lab, her students formed hypotheses about how many drops of water could fit on the surface of a single penny.
Students manipulated the water by adding oil, soap, or rubbing alcohol. The manipulated water was then dropped onto the single penny again, and students measured the change in the number of drops that it would hold.
Lots of fun AND learning!
