Upper School “Makes” Memorial Day

The upper school MAKE CBA class came together to honor the fallen heroes who bravely served our nation by organizing a moving flag folding ceremony and a solemn candlelight vigil.

The memorial area in the Maker Space, established in 2021, served as the backdrop for this year’s commemoration. The original memorial was dedicated to the 13 service members who tragically lost their lives supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan. This year students added creative arts to decorate the area with handmade pinwheels and artistic creations, symbolizing their respect and remembrance. Through their combined talents, students expressed their creativity and deepened their understanding of Memorial Day.
