Mr. Kiel Powell, Middle School Science Teacher & Soccer Coach

CBA is delighted to welcome Mr. Kiel Powell to the middle school faculty this year. Mr. Powell holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Government and German from Hampden-Sydney College, as well as a B2.2 Certificate from the Goethe Institute, certifying him as an “independent user of the German language”. Originally from Virginia Beach, Mr. Powell has also lived in Germany and Denmark and is an Eagle Scout who loves the outdoors, fishing and camping. He also loves to write and recently finished his first book.

“I like the Denver Broncos and the Georgia Bulldogs. I also played rugby in college. It is still something I love to watch in person or when streaming. While at CBA I will strive to be active in the school community, help instill in my students my passion for social studies, and to continue to grow as an educator.”
