Bill Jones, swabbing a petri dish in Biology

Mr. Foss’ Chemistry and Biology classes participated in two different labs this week.

In Chemistry, students tested metal chloride samples using a flame test to see what color flames are made by the different metals. They later used their data to find which metal was in an unknown solution.
In Biology, students took samples from around the school using swabs and petri dishes to see what microorganisms could be found. Later, they used Gram Staining to see the type of bacteria they had collected.
Interesting work by all!
