  • Creative Arts Fest Recap

The CBA community enjoyed a beautiful day at the Fourth Annual Melinda Vooss Creative Arts Festival, celebrating our incredibly talented students who used music, art, and poetry to express this year’s theme, “I Am CBA.”

The day was filled with inspiring performances, as Ms. Kooiman’s choir and middle school drum ensemble set the tone with harmonious sounds. Mr. Lofton followed with an original and captivating poetry reading, while Mrs. Viar shared a heartfelt reflection on what makes CBA so special. The program also featured an entertaining video created by Kendrick Ogden.

Student creativity was on full display through an impressive range of makerspace projects, including 3D designs, MakerFest builds, ocean dioramas, LEGO inventions, and laser-cut creations. Artistic highlights included standout pieces created under the guidance of Ms. Beatty, involving graffiti fences, tic-tac-toe boards, Walls of Unity, and the unveiling of our new Community Mural. A new addition this year, Ms. Severts’ STEAM projects brought fresh energy to the festival with roller coaster builds, Puddle Puppets, and biome projects.

A special thank you to the Vooss Family and the Melinda M. Vooss Artfully Yours Memorial Fund. We are proud of this vibrant celebration of the arts that continues to bring out the best of our CBA community.
