One-on-One Support to Improve Cognitive Skills
Academic Therapy utilizes a research-based approach to improving academic skills and overall cognitive functioning for students with information and processing challenges. Utilizing a multisensory approach, students become more effective learners.
Multisensory math is based on the Orton-Gillingham philosophy of direct instruction. Using the Concrete-Representation-Abstract (CRA) approach and hands-on techniques, students will receive instruction at their current academic level in numeracy, place value, the four operations, fractions and decimals.
Individual sessions will be provided by Dr. Christine Hebert, a Board-Certified Teacher, Certified Reading Specialist, and Academic Therapist. Dr. Hebert holds master’s degrees in Special Education and Administration, and a Ph.D. in Literacy Leadership.
Each interactive session is 50 minutes in length and can be delivered either on-campus or via Zoom based on registrants’ preference.
Upon receipt of deposit participants will be contacted to arrange their schedule of sessions. Due to time constraints we are unable to reschedule sessions.
***A $250 non-refundable deposit is required at time of registration for all programs.***
No portion of camp is refundable. All summer programs will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th.
