Announcement from the Chairman of the Board: New CBA Head of School Named
Dear Members of the Chesapeake Bay Academy Community,
Thank you to all who participated in and supported the search initiative for CBA’s new Head of School. Over the course of the last several months, the search committee reviewed an impressive pool of candidates. Last Spring, our board of trustees, faculty and staff, students and parents, alumni, and community partners engaged with the top three candidates and provided valuable feedback and insight to assist in the process of selecting CBA’s next leader.
On behalf of the board of trustees and the search committee, I am happy to announce that Krishna R. Davda, M.Sc. will join Chesapeake Bay Academy as the Head of School beginning July 1, 2026. With over two decades of leadership in schools serving students with Learning Differences (LD), Krishna has served as Head of Student Experience at The Overlake School (WA), Head of Middle School at Perkiomen School (PA), and Program Director at Franklin Academy (CT). He is co-author of the upcoming U.S. State Department publication Getting Down to Business: A Playbook for Expanding and Enhancing Sustainable Student Support Services in International Schools, and holds an M.Sc. in Public Policy & Management from the University of London and a B.A. in Medical Ethics from New York University.
We are profoundly grateful to Dr. Jankowski, who has guided CBA with extraordinary dedication. Her impact on our community has been immeasurable, and we will celebrate her leadership throughout this school year. In the months ahead, we will share opportunities for families, alumni, and students to connect with Mr. Davda. Together, we will ensure a smooth and positive transition into this next chapter of CBA’s history.
CBA is extremely fortunate to have a strong, active, and supportive board and community. We are all grateful to the search committee and Board for their dedication and success in securing a proven educational leader with a clear vision for our future and appreciation for what is special about our beloved Chesapeake Bay Academy.
Regards,
