Celebrating Our Student Artists
Following last year’s recognition of upper schooler Jordan McDonald, whose artwork was selected for publication in a previous Celebrating Art Anthology, we are excited to share that several other CBA students have recently had their artwork accepted for publication in this national online student art contest. This publication receives thousands of submissions from across the United States. This is a meaningful and well-deserved achievement, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. The anthology featuring their work will be released in Fall 2026.
Lower School students:Joel Oliver and Caden White
Middle School students: Vhenus Guzman, Luna Marino, and Nora Sager
Congratulations to our newly published artists!
More on the artwork:
Lower School students Ashley, Joel, and Caden were recognized for work from our mixed-media Brain Project, an exploration of how art can support mindfulness and emotional balance through bilateral drawing, clay pinch pots, and self-portraiture. Luna’s accepted piece comes from our Family Quiltmaking unit, inspired by the Freedom Quilters Guild and ancestral quilt traditions, and reflects her family’s beloved chickens. Vhenus was recognized for her original cat character named Birchstar, inspired by her love of the Warrior Cat book series, and Nora’s accepted artwork is a heartfelt portrait of her dog, Nugget.
