Fall Extracurriculars
CBA is pleased to offer several extracurricular offerings this Fall! Get ready for CodeNinjas, Dance & Cheer, Kick Ball, Wiffle Ball, Chess Club and Bug Explorers! All activities are co-ed and open to all skill levels – no experience necessary!
CodeNinjas: Robotics
Participants will learn how to program and build robots through the use of Arduino and LEGO Spike Prime. Projects will include robotic cars, break-dancing bots, and even a working safe to store their valuable creations!Â
Grades: 5-12 (co-ed)
Sept. 29 – Nov. 18

Mondays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm (FULL)
Cost: $135 (7 sessions, no school 10/13)
Tuesdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm (FULL)
Cost: $155 (8 sessions)
Location: CBA Room 225
Max 10 participants on each day.
Dance & Cheer Club
The Starz Program™ is committed to enriching lives. Helping to promote fitness which they believe improves self-esteem and overall well-being.​​ Learn the building blocks of cheerleading and dance with a cumulative recital performed at the end of the program!
Grades: 1-8 (co-ed)
Sept. 29 – Nov. 17 (7 sessions, no school 10/13)
Mondays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
Cost: $215 (includes pom-poms)
Location: CBA Gym
Dress: Movable clothing and tennis shoes required.
Kickball
Join Overtime Athletics for this PE favorite! Knock it out of the park with a big kick and use those same feet to motor around the bases. This program is all about playing the game. More game time equals more fun! The class will focus on teamwork and sportsmanship, topped off with some high fives!
Grades: 6-12 (co-ed)
Sept. 30 – Nov. 18 (8 sessions)
Tuesdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
Cost: $130
Location: CBA Gym
Dress: Movable clothing, tennis shoes, and knee pads required.
Chess Club
CBA is pleased to continue our partnership with Hampton Roads Chess Association (HRCA) to offer chess club this Spring. Coach Mike will teach game fundamentals, skills and strategy following the organization’s mission in bringing the life benefits of chess to people of all ages and abilities throughout our region.
Grades: 5-12 (co-ed)
Oct. 1 – Nov. 19 (8 sessions)
Wednesdays: 3:30 – 4:30 pm
Cost: $125
Location: CBA Room 131
Bug Explorers Club
Bug Club is offered as a part of our continued partnership with Mosquito Joe. Participants will develop a love of entomology by discovering the secrets of the smallest creatures on earth through bug hunts, insect study, arts and crafts and special guest visitors. Students will enhance their observation and scientific inquiry skills while developing an appreciation for the natural world and the crucial role insects play in our environment.
Grades: 1-5 (co-ed)
Oct. 2 – Nov. 20 (6 sessions – no club 10/2 or 10/16)
Thursdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
Cost: $75
