Our educational environment provides a supportive and challenging curriculum that nurtures all aspects of a student’s growth.

What is an Individualized Instruction Plan (IIP)?

All CBA students receive an Individualized Instruction Plan (IIP) that outlines learning outcomes in specific areas. This personalized roadmap for each student’s success includes specific strategies and accommodations for achieving those goals. The IIP is developed and monitored by the division director, with input from teachers and parents. Each student’s IIP is formally reviewed twice a year, however, informal meetings to make changes that reflect student development throughout the course of the year are common. Individualization and flexibility are hallmarks of a CBA education.

What type of diploma do your graduating students receive?

CBA, as a VAIS-accredited, independent school, offers two diploma tracks; a standard and advanced independent school diploma.

To be considered for a standard diploma, a student must earn a minimum of 21 credit hours.
To be considered for an advanced diploma, a student must also take 4 additional credit hours.
