  • Holidays for Heroes: Community Service Art Project

Lower school art students recently participated in Holidays for Heroes, a service-learning project honoring local veterans at the Virginia Beach Veterans Center. Building on last year’s project, students assembled gift bags to accompany the handmade cards created in art class, which were then hand-delivered to the Veterans Center.

Students who participated in the delivery were given a tour of the center and learned how it supports veterans through counseling and other essential services. This project offered students a meaningful opportunity to use their creativity to give back, reflect on gratitude, and see how small acts of kindness can make a big impact.

With the support of our school community, students played an active role in spreading appreciation and care to local veterans during the holiday season. We look forward to continuing this meaningful project again next year.

Thank you to our staff and faculty who helped make this project possible!
