In Memory of Stock Watson

Stockton Tyler Watson, Sr. passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2025, at his home in Richmond, Virginia.   Stock was born on June 14, 1968, to Lina and Roddy Watson in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he spent most of his life. Stock is the father of CBA alum, Mac Watson, class of ’15, and nephew of Eleanor Stanton, CBA Board Member Emeritus.

To know Stock was an amazing gift. He had an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel truly important, welcomed, and loved. He was a special blend of what we should all hope to be; kind and caring, honest and sincere, funny with impeccable timing, a great storyteller. Stock spent a lot of time in CBA’s gym supporting his son, Mac, as he played on the basketball team through his middle and upper school years.

A celebration of Stock’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18th at Galilee Church, 3928 Pacific Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA. His family open-heartedly directs memorial gifts, In lieu of flowers, to Chesapeake Bay Academy or the charity of your choosing.
