Ms. Farino’s Great Glow Party
Lower schoolers celebrated a well-earned reward with the Great Glow Party — a high-energy, glow-in-the-dark classroom experience that quickly became a student favorite. The celebration was earned through consistent positive behaviors, including following directions, showing kindness and respect, raising hands, and accepting feedback appropriately. Each day the class met their goals, they earned a letter, working together until they proudly spelled out “Glow Day!”
When students walked into the fully transformed classroom, their excitement and surprise said it all. The room was completely redesigned to glow in the dark, creating a fun and engaging environment that made the reward feel extra special and memorable. Every student played a role in earning the celebration, which made the experience even more meaningful.
The Glow Party wasn’t just about fun — it was also filled with glow-themed literacy games, math activities, and team-building challenges that kept students actively learning while celebrating their hard work. By blending academics with creativity and excitement, Ms. Farino created an experience that supported both engagement and learning.
Students repeatedly called it the “best day ever,” and it was clear that the effort and enthusiasm behind the event made a lasting impact. The Great Glow Party is a great example of how positive classroom culture and creative teaching can make learning both joyful and motivating. Great Work, Ms. Farino!
