Lower school kicked off the week with a joyful celebration of National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday, turning our halls into a colorful world of stories and imagination! Teachers joined in the fun by dressing up as beloved Dr. Seuss characters, instantly bringing smiles, laughter, and a touch of whimsy to the school day. Their creativity set the tone for a morning centered around the magic of reading.
During literacy classes, students embarked on a special “Reading Adventure,” diving into favorite books, listening to engaging read-alouds, and participating in literacy-themed activities designed to spark curiosity and a love for stories. Classrooms were filled with excitement as students explored new books, shared favorite characters, and celebrated the joy that reading brings.
To make the day even more memorable, students were invited to dress up as their favorite characters, adding even more imagination and personality to the celebration. From classic Seuss-inspired outfits to storybook heroes, the enthusiasm was contagious. It was a vibrant and meaningful day that highlighted the importance of reading while reminding students that books can take us anywhere!
