Summer Enrichment: Preparing Students to Thrive
CBA Summer Enrichment campers experienced a week filled with engaging learning, personal growth, and joyful discovery. Through lessons centered on the character trait of cooperation, students practiced teamwork, respectful communication, problem-solving, and learned how to build an inclusive community where everyone feels valued.
In our Intensive Reading and Summer Learning Programs, campers strengthened essential reading, writing, and math skills through phonics, comprehension, syllable study, creative writing, and hands-on problem-solving. Older students began reading Matilda, while younger campers built literacy and confidence through engaging stories and activities.
Afternoons brought learning to life with hands-on STEM and enrichment experiences, from exploring the water cycle to creating edible fishing rods and patriotic fruit skewers. Inspired by Enemy Pie, campers also explored the power of kindness, empathy, and friendship.
It was a week filled with learning, collaboration, creativity, and fun as campers continued building the academic skills, confidence, and character that will serve them well in school and beyond.
