VWU Students Gain Hands-On Experience in PE Classes

Over the past two weeks, students from Virginia Wesleyan University’s (VWU) Youth Development program shadowed Coach George during PE classes at CBA, gaining a firsthand look at working in an active school environment.

For many, the experience was especially valuable as they explore future careers. Several said that working directly with CBA students helped them better understand if education or youth development is the right path. A highlight for many was simply interacting with students and experiencing their energy and enthusiasm.

Their professor also praised the experience, noting Coach George’s flexibility and supportive approach. Overall, it was a rewarding and engaging opportunity for both the Virginia Wesleyan students and the CBA community.
