Zachary Glassman Participates in 2026 Congressional Art Competition
This spring, upper schoolers were invited to participate in the Congressional Art Competition– a nationwide program sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize and encourage artistic talent among high school students.CBA 11th grader Zachary Glassman entered his photograph, Union Pacific Railroad, into the 2026 Congressional Art Competition in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of America and attended this week’s reception and ceremony for participating student artists across Virginia Beach. His artwork will be displayed for one year in Congresswoman Jen Kiggans’ district office.
In his artist statement, Zach shared that his work reflects the long history of railroads in the United States and the significance of the transcontinental railroad in connecting the country.
Congratulations to Zach for sharing his amazing photography with the broader community!
