  • Ms. Beatty and Students Make Their Mark at Norfolk Zine Fest

CBA’s art program extended beyond the classroom this past weekend as Ms. Beatty exhibited at Norfolk Zine Fest at the Chrysler Museum of Art, with CBA students and families joining her throughout the day.

Norfolk Zine Fest brought together artists, creators, and art lovers to celebrate zines and independent creative work. CBA students had the opportunity to explore the museum, connect with local artists, and experience Norfolk’s arts community firsthand.

Having Ms. Beatty there as an exhibiting artist made the experience even more special. Students saw their art teacher in her element as a practicing artist—sharing her own work, connecting with fellow creatives, and participating in the larger arts community.

The day connected what happens in the CBA art room with the world beyond our campus, giving students a firsthand look at how artists share their work, build connections, and become part of a creative community.

We’re proud to see Ms. Beatty and our students representing CBA and making their mark beyond the classroom!
