Co-curricular Programs
CBA is excited to offer a variety of after-school activities this Fall! Students can enrich their afternoons with Sports Spectacular, CodeNinjas, Yoga, Basketball Club, MOCA Art Club, and Chess Club. All activities are co-ed, open to all skill levels, and designed for beginners and experienced students alike — no prior experience needed!
Sports Spectacular
Let’s Play! As part of CBA’s continued partnership with Overtime Athletics (OTA), students will wrap up the school day with a variety of sports activities throughout the session. Participants will practice skills and play games in both traditional sports and playground favorites. The Sports Spectacular Variety Program features the best “to-do” list ever – Soccer, Flag Football, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Wiffle Ball, Bump and Bite, Knights and Dragons, Numbers Game, Tag Games, Safe Base and MORE! OTA covers all the bases with our emphasis on playing, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. Don’t miss out on the FUN!
Grades: 1-8 (co-ed)

CodeNinjas: Roblox Club
Join us for the CodeNinjas Roblox Club! Students will use Roblox Studio to build their own Roblox experiences. They will also learn to use LUA in Roblox to create scripts
that enhance their experiences. In each session, Ninjas will interact with Roblox Studio and learn different tools of increasing difficulty as they build Roblox games from scratch!
Grades: 5-12 (co-ed)

Yoga
Join Elaine Solaqua for yoga to stretch, find strength, and improve coordination. Participants will be encouraged to explore and find joy in an open and safe atmosphere. Yoga mats are provided.

MOCA Art Club
Virginia MOCA is excited to offer an after-school art club for students in grades 6–12. Facilitated by one of their very own experienced museum educators, students will work through a series of small projects over eight one-hour sessions — experimenting with different materials and ideas inspired by what contemporary artists are making and exploring right now.
Grades: 6-12 (co-ed)

Maximum 14 students.
Chess Club
CBA is excited to continue our partnership with the Hampton Roads Chess Association to offer Chess Club this winter. Coach Mike will guide students through game fundamentals, skills, and strategy, supporting HRCA’s mission to share the life benefits of chess with people of all ages and abilities across the region.
Grades: 5-12 (co-ed)
September 16 – November 18 (9 sessions, no school 11/11)
Wednesdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
Cost: $175 (includes $20 registration fee)
Location: Room 131
Basketball Club
Coach George will lead participants in fundamental basketball skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, footwork, and defensive drills. Small side games will build their basketball knowledge and ensure plenty of court time!

September 17 – November 19 (10 sessions)
Thursdays: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
Cost: $175
Location: Gym
