CBA Partners with Virginia MOCA for Innovative ARTlab Experience
As part of the Virginia MOCA’s grand opening of it’s new location, CBA contributed to a semantic storytelling exhibit as part of their ARTlab, an educational space housed within the museum. The exhibit features symbols cut onto wooden square cubes that can be attached to whiteboards with magnets. Visitors interacting with the exhibit can mix and match the different blocks and write up short blurbs or stories that they interpret from the different patterns they create.
The exhibit showcases CBA’s continued collaboration with the Virginia MOCA as they transition into their new home at Virginia Wesleyan University. Dr. Shantanu Tilak and Mr. Michael Haeupl worked with the museum’s staff to fabricate the project using CBA’s laser cutters. These joint efforts will pave the way for deeper engagement between the museum, the school’s research program, and its students and teachers in the coming academic year.
