CBA & VWU: Partners in Progress

Dear CBA Community Members,

With the news of the growing partnership between Chesapeake Bay Academy (CBA) and Virginia Wesleyan (VWU) released earlier this month, we are now excited to share some upcoming opportunities that will benefit both organizations. This fall, CBA looks forward to hosting student interns from VWU’s Therapeutic Recreation program creating enhanced athletic opportunities for both CBA and VWU students; CBA’s after school E-sports team will have access to the VWU gaming center and state-of-the-art equipment; many of CBA’s signature community events and professional collaboration opportunities will relocate to the Susan S. Goode Fine & Performing Arts Center; qualifying CBA instrumentalist will have the opportunity to participate in VWU ensembles; and CBA’s new Outdoor Education Class will enjoy use of the nature path and the Greer Environmental Center.

As we plan for the upcoming school year, this new expanded partnership lays the foundation for continued growth for both organizations we are are tremendously grateful to our partners and friends at VWU.
