  • Clinic Update and Wellness Guidelines

We are pleased to share that the CBA clinic can now administer select over-the-counter medications with a parent or guardian’s authorization—no physician’s signature is required. Click here to access the OTC Med form.

This change will help us respond more readily to students’ needs so they can feel their best and make the most of their time at school. To authorize medication for your child, please indicate on the form whether your child requires a children’s or adult dosage, sign the form, and return it in one of the following ways:

Wellness Guidelines

To help keep our school community healthy, please follow these guidelines when determining whether your child is ready to return to school:

  • Vomiting or diarrhea: Students may return 24 hours after the last episode.
  • Fever: Students may return after being fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication. A fever is defined as a temperature of 100.4°F or higher.
  • Contagious illness: Students with chickenpox, measles, mumps, or another contagious illness must provide a doctor’s note clearing them to return and must meet the fever guidelines above.
  • Strep throat: Students may return after taking antibiotics for at least 24 hours and meeting the fever guidelines.
  • Pink eye (conjunctivitis): Students may return after receiving antibiotic treatment for at least 24 hours.
  • Rash: Students with a rash of unknown origin—other than a chronic skin condition such as eczema—should remain home until the rash has resolved or the student has been cleared by a doctor.
  • COVID-19 or flu: Students may return after being fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and once their symptoms are improving. Students should wear a mask for five days after returning.

Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy learning environment at CBA. I look forward to a happy and healthy school year together!
