  • Dr. Judy Jankowski selected as a 2020 YWCA Woman of Distinction

Dr. J was recently surprised with the YWCA of South Hampton Roads Woman of Distinction Award!

Congratulations to Dr. Judy Jankowski, Head of School at Chesapeake Bay Academy, for being named a Woman of Distinction by the YWCA of South Hampton Roads. Dr. Judy Jankowski has devoted her career to the education of diverse learners. For over three decades she has worked with children whose life paths have been forged by physical, cognitive and emotional differences. Understanding and support for a wide range of human potential is at the heart of Dr. Jankowski’s work. Vickie Black, LCSW and owner of Aviso Solutions, who nominated Dr. Jankowski for the award said, “It is a lifetime of work educating and advocating on behalf of peoples with diverse and wide-ranging life experiences that makes Dr. Jankowski truly a Woman of Distinction.”

For more than 30 years, the YWCA of South Hampton Roads has recognized and celebrated the achievements of outstanding women. Each honoree selected has made a significant difference in the community and inspired others, while achieving exceptional success in their field. Dr. Jankowski will be honored for her work at the YWCA’s annual luncheon on March 31, 2020.
