Pierce Makes Waves with LEGO Creativity

Congrats to Pierce for earning second place at this year’s Hampton Roads Naval Museum’s LEGO Shipbuilding Competition!

His imaginative creation, Coast Guard Rescue, told an action-packed story of a speeding rescue boat saving a surfer from a giant squid close behind. The build included moving parts and was especially meaningful, as Pierce created it in honor of his older brother who serves in the U.S. Coast Guard.

While Pierce enjoys building LEGO sets, his creativity truly shines when he’s designing his own ideas and this project was a perfect example of that talent. After his big win, Pierce put his prize money toward what he loves most: even more LEGO bricks!
