Welcome Chief Advancement Officer, Sarah Dudzic
CBA is excited to welcome Sarah Dudzic to our community as our new Chief Advancement Officer!
With a bachelor’s degree in political science from Union College, Sarah brings a background spanning independent schools, nonprofit leadership, communications, and community engagement. She began her career in independent schools as a middle school humanities teacher and dorm head before going on to serve as a residential dean and athletic director. She also taught adult education to out-of-school youth and later went on to lead nonprofit organizations before returning to independent education.
Most recently, Sarah spent more than four years at Franklin Academy in Connecticut, a school serving neurodivergent students, where she served as Director of Communications and Systems. Originally from Connecticut, Sarah relocated to Virginia Beach to join Chesapeake Bay Academy because she believes deeply in the school’s mission. In her role at CBA, she leads the school’s philanthropic efforts and works closely with colleagues across communications, enrollment, and community engagement to build meaningful connections among families, alumni, donors, and community partners.
Outside of work, Sarah is married to her wife, Kinsley, and has three adult children, two grandchildren, and a beloved cat. She is an avid sports fan who proudly brings her Buffalo Bills and Boston Red Sox loyalties with her to Virginia. She also enjoys golf, as well as spending time at the beach and on the water.
When asked what she hopes to accomplish at CBA, Sarah shared a goal centered on connecting more families and supporters to the school’s mission and creating opportunities for students to thrive:
“I hope to help more families discover the life-changing impact of a CBA education, strengthen the community of supporters who believe in our mission, and ensure that every student who can benefit from Chesapeake Bay Academy has the opportunity to thrive here. By building deeper connections with families, alumni, donors, and community partners, I hope to help position CBA for an even stronger future.”
