Sensory-Friendly Morning at the Virginia Zoo: Nov. 8
The Virginia Zoo is creating a special opportunity for families to enjoy a day of exploration in a calmer, more sensory-friendly environment! In partnership with Autism Society Tidewater Virginia, Complete the Puzzle, and Destination Family Services, the Zoo is hosting a sensory-friendly morning designed to make the experience more comfortable and accessible for guests of all abilities.
Families can look forward to up-close animal encounters, hands-on learning activities, and opportunities to explore the Zoo with reduced crowds, sounds, and lighting. Community organizations will also be available to share helpful resources and connect with families.
Timed tickets are required, and individuals with an ADA-recognized disability and one companion may receive complimentary admission at the ticket booth.
