Dr. Rubin joined the board of trustees in 2015 and is the father of CBA alumnus Isaac Rubin, a 2020 graduate of Randolph-Macon College with a BS in Biology. Bruce currently serves on the investment committee. He is the Chairman of the Finance Department and Executive Director of the Insurance and Financial Services Center at Old Dominion University. He has served as Interim Dean of the Strome College of Business, the director of the MBA program for sixteen years, coordinator of the Professional Certificate in Financial Planning as well as the undergraduate major in personal financial planning. He has over forty years of experience teaching investments, portfolio management, and corporate finance at Old Dominion University and the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He has participated in executive development programs in the U.S. and South America. He has served on several boards including The Achievable Dream Academy, Probation Friends program in Cleveland, the Friends of Spencer Youth Center (the Tennessee juvenile prison) in Nashville, Southeastern Virginia Planned Parenthood. He is a graduate of New York University and Case Western Reserve University.
