Discussion: Understanding AuDHD – When Autism and ADHD Intersect
Kick off your morning with a great breakfast and an engaging conversation about AuDHD—the co-occurrence of autism and ADHD—and what this increasingly recognized profile means for the way we understand and support neurodivergent students.
Together, we’ll explore how autism and ADHD can intersect and influence learning, executive functioning, communication, sensory processing, social experiences, and emotional regulation. We’ll also discuss why AuDHD can sometimes be difficult to recognize, how student needs may present differently across settings, and what educators, clinicians, and other professionals can do to provide more responsive and effective support.
Most importantly, this conversation will bring together professionals from across our community to share perspectives, experiences, and strategies for helping AuDHD students better understand their strengths, navigate challenges, and thrive.
Kindly RSVP by Wednesday, October 21st. Questions? Please contact Cary Terry, Special Events Coordinator, at 757.497.6200 or cterry@cba-va.org.
