Dee Roberts Lester

Mrs. Lester is an alumni parent and a founding board. She served as board chair from 1992 through 1998 and has also been the board’s treasurer and vice chair. Throughout her 26 years of supporting CBA through her role as trustee, Mrs. Lester has served on the executive, development, finance, committee on trustees, marketing, long range planning and capital campaign committees. She was chair of the capital campaign committee from 1999-2004 and chair of the committee on trustees from 1998-1999. Mrs. Lester is a retired certified public accountant who received her bachelor of science degree in business administration, with emphasis in accounting, from the University of Richmond. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Lester worked for a number of Hampton Roads based accounting firms, ending her career with McPhillips, Roberts & Deans, PLC, an unparalleled provider of business accounting and tax services in Hampton Roads, while also raising her three sons. Mrs. Lester has also devoted a great deal of her time to numerous other civic and philanthropic activities over the years, including, among others, the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters and the Church of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, where she is a current vestry member.
