CBA is pleased to offer co-ed Eco Club, Bug Explorers, E-Sports, Karate and Chess Club for Spring. Activities are open to all skill levels – no experience necessary!
Eco Club
Be the change you want to see and help our community go green! Led by Ms. Ward, participants will learn about the impact we each have on our environment and ways that we can help preserve it for the future. The club will explore the benefits of composting and recycling while spreading awareness to the community.
April 8 – May 20 (7 sessions)
Grades: 6-12 (co-ed)
Cost: $100

Bug Explorers
As part of our continued partnership with Mosquito Joe, participants will develop a love of entomology by discovering the secrets of the smallest creatures on Earth through bug hunts, insect study, arts and crafts and special guest visitors. Students will enhance their observation and scientific inquiry skills while developing an appreciation for the natural world and the crucial role insects play in our environment.
April 11 – May 30 (8 sessions)
Grades: 4-8 (co-ed)

E-Sports with Game On ***Two Options Now Available***
CBA is proud to partner with Game On, Hampton Roads leading provider of Youth E-Sports. Each session will feature two coaches guiding participants through the online world of competitive video gaming utilizing organized multiplayer and individual approaches. In addition to game concepts and skills, coaches will also cover healthy gaming habits, college opportunities and career paths. Game on!

Grades: 5-10 (co-ed)
Game: Super Smash Bros
***Option 1 – Tues AND Wed: $260 (gaming only), $300 (gaming plus pizza on Wednesdays). Includes one jersey per athlete. 12 max athletes. First come, first served.
***Option 2 – Tuesday ONLY: $135. Includes t-shirt.
Tuesday Practice: 3:30 – 5:30 pm will be held at CBA.
Wednesday Competition: 5:30 – 8:30 pm will be held at Game On located at 5386 Kemps River Road in Virginia Beach.
- Participants will attend homework center until the GameOn bus arrives at 4:30 pm to transport.
- Participants have the option to pre-order pizza or bring their own dinner.
- Parents are encouraged to attend “Wipe Out Wednesdays” and are responsible for picking up their child from Game On NO LATER than 8:30 pm on Wednesdays.

Martial Arts/Karate
Led by Sensei Andre Serrette and John Huckins, participants will learn the fundamentals of martial arts to promote self-discipline, emotional stability, and respect, along with the enhancement of various physical skills.
April 9 – June 1 (8 weeks)
Grades: 1-12 (co-ed)

Tuesdays: 3:00 – 3:45 pm and Saturdays 9:30 – 10:30 am
Tuesdays AND Saturdays: $200

Chess Club
CBA is pleased to continue our partnership with Hampton Roads Chess Association (HRCA) to offer chess club for Spring. Coach Mike will teach game fundamentals, skills and strategy following the organization’s mission in bringing the life benefits of chess to people of all ages and abilities throughout our region.
